Escaped Inmate Captured

An escaped inmate from Wheeler County is back behind bars tonight.

Tommy Lamar Williams, Jr. was on work detail at a school in Wheeler County, when he walked away around 2:30 Thursday afternoon.

According to the Georgia Department of Corrections, he was captured without incident in Broxton in Coffee County, just before 7pm.
