Ella Carter to Keep District 1 Seat on School Board

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Incumbent Ella Carter will keep the District 1 seat on the Bibb Board of Education.

She was up against Michael McKeever and Brenda Sutton in Tuesday’s election and came out on top with 67 percent of the votes.

We caught up with Ms. Carter earlier this evening, and she told us why this seat means so much to her.

“I entered this race because I’m not a politician,” says Carter.  “I’m a lover of children.  I’m concerned about the cause of education in this county.  I just believe I had more to offer to this position for the good of the boys and girls in this community.”
