Elderly Eatonton Woman Killed in House Fire
EATONTON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An elderly woman died in a early Sunday morning house fire in Putnam County.
According to a news release from the Georgia Department of Insurance, 85-year-old Kathryn Perry was killed in the fire. The fire was at the home located at 360 Old Copelan Road and the call came in around 2 a.m. The release states the fire was caused by Perry not disposing of her “smoking material” properly.
This fatality brings Georgia’s fire death total to 70 for 2013.
