Edwards, Beverly disagree on participation in road project in Macon
He says his opponent for the state house race doesn’t deserve credit for a roadscape project on Jeffersonville Road in Macon.
Edwards along with Macon-Bibb Commissioners Scotty Shepherd and Elaine Lucas say the project, which has been in the works for 25 years, was all a team effort between Edwards and other officials.
“This road was promised some 25 years ago, and we’re still struggling with it 25 years later. In a word…people have been inconvenienced,” Edwards said.
41NBC did reach out to State Representative Beverly about the issue.
He says his efforts were focused primarily on repaving the Jeffersonville and Millerfield road intersection.
Beverly says he hasn’t had anything to do with the long term solutions for the road, but says he wanted to get something done right away.
