Edmonton IndyCar Race Folds

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) – The Edmonton IndyCar event has folded.

City officials said Friday that promoter Octane Motorsports told them it won’t stage the race the next year. The said also said it won’t search for a replacement promoter.

The race began in 2005 under the Champ Car banner. It was held on a temporary road course at Edmonton City Centre Airport.
