East Macon Man Stabbed In The Head, Chases Man Who Stabbed Him

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing from early Saturday morning in East Bibb County.

According to witnesses, 55 year old Jimmy Fitzpatrick was getting out of his car around 2:00 Saturday morning, when 18 year old Brendan Walker of Macon stabbed him in the head and in the back with a kitchen knife.

Walker fled the scene in a car, but Fitzpatrick got into his own car, and chased Walker onto Jeffersonville Road. Walker crashed his vehicle at the intersection of Jeffersonville Road and Irwinton Road, where Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies happened to witness the crash.

Walker got out of the car and ran, but later turned himself in and is being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center on charges of Aggravated Assault.

Fitzpatrick was taken to the hospital by his wife, where he is listed in stable condition.
