East Macon drive-by shooting leaves victim in critical condition

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s investigators charged a suspect with an east Macon shooting incident that happened on Friday night.

Authorities say they obtained arrest warrants on a second suspect involved in the shooting.

Investigators say that Lawanda Curry and Ronald Glover stood in a yard talking when the suspects pulled up in a red S.U.V.

Investigators say that the suspects fired a shot from the S.U.V. striking Lawanda in the stomach. Then the S.U.V. fled the scene.

Authorities say that Lawanda was taken to the hospital.  She is listed in critical, but stable condition.

Investigators identified one of the suspects as 29-year-old Tavarius Marques Flowers of Macon.

Bibb County sheriff’s deputies arrested Flowers and took him to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.  He is being held without bond and charged with Aggravated Assault.

Investigators obtained arrest warrants for Davarius Antonio Curry in connection with this investigation.

Investigators say they also need the public’s need in finding Shunliyah Curry for questioning about this incident.

Authorities also say that Davarius and Shunliyah are related to Lawanda Curry.

This is an ongoing investigation.
