East Lauren Elementary school host Color run for students
DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -There was a rainbow of runners at East Lauren Elementary school.
Students were showered with colored powder as they ran a lengthy loop around the school.
Each student meets with their teacher every nine weeks to create their own individual reading growth goal.
At the end of the 9th week, faculty members reward students with a celebration.
“We always say if you can read you can succeed and we talk a lot about growth. If you work hard, then we celebrate with fun events like this,” Principal Kelly Dean said.
