East Ga. School Superintendent Wins National Award

GREENSBORO, Ga. (AP) – An east Georgia school superintendent has
won a national award.

Greene County Superintendent Barbara Pulliam Davis has received
the “superintendent of the year” award from the National Alliance
of Black School Educators. Davis was hired at the tiny district in
2008 after being a high school teacher, principal and administrator
in several districts across the country.

The Greene County school district has about 2,000 students in
seven schools, including one charter school
