Early voting for Georgia Public Service Commission primary races are underway. Here’s how you can vote in Macon-Bibb County.
Macon-Bibb Board of Elections Supervisor Tom Gillon says turnout in the county has been low thus far, with a little more than 120 residents voting as of Friday morning.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Early voting kicked off this week for primary elections in two Georgia Public Service Commission seats. Macon-Bibb Board of Elections Supervisor Tom Gillon says turnout in the county has been low thus far, with a little more than 120 residents voting as of Friday morning.
“If you want your voice to count, come on down and vote or vote on election day,” Gillon said. “You can also request an absentee ballot between now and June 6 so your voice can get heard.”
Early voting continues through June 13 at the Macon-Bibb County Board of Elections and the Elaine Lucas Senior Center. Gillon says that includes Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. The primary also includes two Saturdays of early voting (June 7 and June 14) at both locations, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Election Day is Tuesday, June 17.
Primary voters will select the nominees for Districts 2 and 3 ahead of the general election in November. Gillon says you must choose a party to vote in the primary race, but not in the general election.
