Early Christmas gift for Boys & Girls Club of Central Georgia
Capital One donated $5,000 to the organization. The club’s vice president, Catherine Snook, says the money will be used to send ten teenagers to the annual Keystone Conference in Orlando, Fla. They will also spend a day at Walt Disney World.
Snook explains receiving the funds stemmed from her completing a Capital One member questionnaire.
“You could make a wish for someone else so I quickly went in and wished for ten of our kids to be able to attend the annual Keystone Conference and the wish was granted,” says Snook.
Fifteen-year-old Alexius Cook says this will be her first time attending the conference.
“I look forward to meeting new people and being part of the Keystone Conference,” says Cook.
Snook says some of the teenagers at the Boys & Girls Club have never been outside of Macon. She says thanks to the new funds 20 teens can now go on the trip.
