E-Z Mart In Macon Robbed, Clerk Hit In Head With Handgun

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Police are on the lookout for two men who robbed the E-Z Mart on Houston Avenue early Friday morning.

According to a news release, one of the suspects was playing an “amusement machine” around 2:45a.m., when he told the store clerk he was having troubles with it. When the clerk came to help the man, a second man ran into the store and demanded money by threatening with a handgun.

The second suspect hit the store clerk in the head with the gun.

The two men left the store in an unknown direction with cash, cigarettes, and the clerk’s cell phone. Both men are described as wearing blue Dickie jumpsuits.
