DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Dublin VA Medical Center and the American Red Cross held a collaborative blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donors received a bag of products in appreciation for their contributions.

Keith Griffin, chief of the Dublin VA Center, said donating blood is vital because there is a constant need for supply.

“It’s just an awesome partnership to be able to help citizens in this community and surrounding communities, with life tips just by giving blood. I think a lot of times people don’t know the importance of giving blood. It’s very important to our community and people that need blood,” Griffin said.

Those interested in donating blood can sign up through the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center website.
