Dublin Mayor: Three arrested for recent gun crimes
Mayor Kight is encouraging residents to come forward with any information that could help identify and locate other possible suspects in the recent crimes.

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) —Three people including a teenager have been arrested for recent shootings in Dublin, according to a news release from Dublin Mayor Joshua Kight.
In his release, Mayor Kight said the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 18-year-old Dontavis Lovett, of Dublin, in connection to shootings in the Vinson Village area. He said Lovett was taken into custody in Charleston, South Carolina on Tuesday, and is now being extradited back to Laurens County.
The release went on to say two others involved in the shootings on May 17 and May 25, were recently arrested.
“The City Manager has authorized additional overtime for the police department to allow for increased and persistent patrols.” said Mayor Kight. “The Laurens County Sheriff’s Department is assisting by providing additional manpower support. Dublin Police Chief Keith Moon has also issued a directive adjusting the department’s chase policy to allow for additional pursuit of suspects in specific circumstances.
He also credited the City’s investment in gunshot detection devices, saying it has allowed law enforcemtn to respond within minutes to each incident, and that the department is also using remote cameras, drones, and other technology to increase coverage of impacted neighborhoods.
