Dublin businesses ban together to fund next phase of MLK Monument

DUBLIN, Georgia  (41NBC/WMGT) – Several local businesses in Dublin have donated $5,000 each toward completing the next phase of the Martin Luther King Monument.

After their presentation of phase one of the monument in April, Visit Dublin looked to the community for help with the next additions in what they call the ‘5 for 5 challenge’.

The money will go toward a podium sculpture of King at First African Baptist Church across the street from the monument park.

Curry Companies, YKK AP America, and the Community Foundation of Central Georgia were a few of those that donated.
