Dry weather keeps its hold on the southeast

Middle Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The combination of sunshine and dry air continues to grace us this week. No complaints as today will be cloud-free or at least close to it. I’ve put the high at 54, which is close to the 57 degree average. Tomorrow morning will be colder in the upper 20s/low 30s, colder than the 35 degree average.

It’s hard to break record lows, though. The record lows I’ve seen for this week range from 4 degrees to 10, so while 20s are chillllllyyyyyy, they’re not even close to record-breaking.

This dry weather has to end at some point. For us, it’ll be Friday when rain from the southwest enters our area. More clouds, higher humidity, but temperatures won’t be too warm, which is fortunate. I’ve put a high of 61 on Friday, and by Friday night, I’m expecting the weather to dry.

Sunday could bring a few showers, but early next week — at least on Monday — will be dry. And kids will rejoice as their day off, MLK Day, is chilly and sunny. Right now, I’m forecasted a high of 49.
