Dry today, but rain is coming back
MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT) – High pressure will win the day today, but rain is back in the forecast through the heart of the work week.
TODAY.
Under a mostly sunny sky this afternoon, temperatures are going to be topping out in the upper 70’s and lower 80’s all across the region. During the late afternoon and early evening hours, clouds will begin to roll in from the south ahead of rain that will hold off until tomorrow morning. More cloud cover this evening will be keeping temperatures on the milder side. The average overnight low temperature this time of year is 48°, but tonight temperatures are forecast to fall into the lower and middle 60’s.
TOMORROW.
Cloudy conditions will continue into tomorrow afternoon as the rain coverage will be on the rise as well. Showers will be isolated during the morning hours, but by the afternoon I am expecting showers and a few thunderstorms to become more widespread. Temperatures tomorrow afternoon will be topping out in the low to middle 70’s before falling into the middle 60’s overnight.
WEEK AHEAD.
We keep the rain showers around on Wednesday and for Halloween on Thursday. On Friday, a cold front will move through the Middle Georgia and behind the front we will be drying out and cooling off. Temperatures on Saturday morning will be in the upper 30’s and lower 40’s. This upcoming weekend is going to be perfect fall weather with temperatures forecast to be in the upper 60’s.
