Driver shoots man, drives away in Lizella

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A driver shot a man and then drove away on Holley Road in Lizella.

33-year-old Ray Sams was shot in the leg.

He’s at the hospital in stable condition.

It happened just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

A woman dropped Sams and another woman at the supermarket on Holley Road.

Sams was arguing with the woman that had just dropped him off.

While they argued, two men drove up in a newer, black Ford Taurus.

The driver argued with Sams about something that happened the previous night.

He then told Sams and the other man to empty their pockets.

He shot Sams in the leg and robbed the other man of $300.

The driver then took off with the woman and another man in the Taurus.

Sams went to the Medical Center, Navicent Health in stable condition.
