Driver hits tree, dies in Monroe County single car accident

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal car accident that happened Friday morning on US-41 south near Montpelier Road.

According to a news release, Randolph Watkins of Forsyth, drove off of the roadway and hit a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
