Driver goes to hospital after school bus causes accident
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A driver is in the hospital recovering after a Bibb County school bus turned in front of an SUV on Mumford Road in Macon.
56-year-old Jill Soltis was driving in the westbound lane in her 1991 Ford Explorer around 8 a.m. Thursday morning when the accident rolled her car over.
69-year-old Mary Deshazer drove the school bus.
Deputies say Deshazer couldn’t see because of the sun and didn’t yield the right of way.
There were two kids on the bus, but neither were injured.
