Driver fatally crashes during Perry police chase

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a fatal car crash in Houston County.

According to a news release, a driver crashed into a tree off Klondike Road Monday night, while fleeing from Perry Police. An officer was attempting to stop the driver for traffic violations. The Houston County coroner pronounced the driver dead at the scene.

The name of the driver has not been released.
