Drier today after beneficial rain yesterday

Middle Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The sun returns just in time for the weekend. After tons of rain fell on us yesterday, cloud cover will move out of Middle Georgia throughout the afternoon. The highest chance for rain is this morning and early afternoon as you’ll notice more sun the more we get through the afternoon. Humidity will still be on the high side, but expect it to lower tomorrow.

Dry weather takes over this weekend. Lots of sun, very low rain chances, and mid 90s for highs. Early next week, a front will enter the southeast and bump up our rain chances Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s too far away to say for a certainty what the chances for severe weather will be like, but early readings show CAPE values from 750 – 1500 joules, which may be enough for some strong storms and an isolated severe storm. Nothing out of the ordinary for the summer.
