Dozens of local agencies receive grants during NCDB Grant Week
In total, about $270,000 was handed out to the agencies that attended Thursday's National Community Development Block Grant Week event.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Mayor Lester Miller, Macon-Bibb County Board of Commissioners and the Economic and Community Development Department joined others in the community to celebrate, National Community Development Block Grant Week.
Mayor Miller also presented the annual NCDB Grant Week Proclamation to acknowledge the week’s significance. He snapped photos with each organization’s representatives and gave them hand-written messages to take home with them.
The grants help organizations like the Salvation Army of Greater Macon to provide necessary services to their clients.
National Community Development Block Grant Week ends Friday.
