Downtown Macon set to host annual Christmas Parade
The parade begins Sunday, December 17 at 4 p.m.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Downtown Macon is set to host its annual Christmas Parade this weekend.
The parade begins Sunday, December 17 at 4 p.m., and will travel up Cherry Street to First Street, then take right onto First Street to Mulberry Street, and right onto Mulberry Street to MLK Jr. Boulevard where it will end.
The following streets will be closed between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.:
- Cherry Street from Fifth Street to First Street
- Mulberry Street from MLK Blvd. to First Street
- First Street, Second Street, Third Street and Third Street Lane between Mulberry Street and Cherry Street
- Poplar Street, Plum Street and Oak Street and Oglethorpe Street from Fifth Street to MLK
- MLK between Walnut Street and Poplar Street
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says “No Parking” signs have been placed along the parade route. No vehicles will be allowed to be parked on the parade route Sunday starting at 8:00 a.m. and until the parade is over.
All vehicles will need to be removed from the following streets before 11:00 a.m., or they will be towed at the owner’s expense.
