Downtown Macon burglary suspect caught in act

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies found a man inside a downtown Macon business after responding to a burglary in progress call.

According to a news release, deputies found 35-year-old Kenneth Bernard Mays inside Downtown Motors on Second Street. Deputies found damage to the front door of the business and the alarm system.

Mays was taken into custody and charged with burglary and a probation violation.
