Downtown Georgia Photo Contest An Opportunity To Show Off Your Photos
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Grab your camera and gear, it’s time to show off your town
through photography.
The ‘Downtown Georgia Photo Contest’ is giving all Georgians the opportunity to show off what they love about their historic downtown with photography. The contest is being put on by the Georgia Department of Natural Resource’s Historic Preservation Division. The rules are simple: take a picture of a part of your historic downtown for a state-wide contest.
History buff and photographer, Michael Williams says, he couldn’t pass on an opportunity like this.
“I like the city scape idea. Macon is a city with unique history and beautiful architecture,” Williams says.
The contest is taking part across the state, and can be shots of any historic parts of town. The pictures do not have to be of a building. Photos can be of an historic park, or a unique structure like an old bridge or monument.
