DoorDash driver arrested after accidental shooting during delivery

Deputies say they recently responded to a local hospital concerning a gunshot wound.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accidental shooting that ended with a DoorDash delivery driver in jail.

Deputies say they recently responded to a local hospital concerning a gunshot wound.

The passenger, who was riding with the driver on a delivery, told deputies he accidentally shot himself while holding a gun.

Deputies found two guns in the car. The driver was in possession of one of them, which was reported stolen.
