Donald Trump in Macon- Everything you need to know
Here is everything you need to know aout the event and the time surrounding it:
-The event is free and you can register for tickets here
– The doors open 5:00pm, and parking will cost $5 per car. The event is expected to last from 7:30pm-8:30pm, but those who wish to attend should plan to arrive early to ensure easy access to the venue.
The Bibb County Sheriff would like the public to know how the TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT rally will affect citizens:
-TRAFFIC: Traffic will be affected from 4pm until 10pm. People should avoid roads near the Centreplex during this time if they are not attending the rally. Ticket holders should be prepared for traffic delays entering and exiting the Centreplex.
TICKET HOLDERS: Although the event is free, tickets are still required for the Trump event. For those who have tickets, be aware that the security at the venue will be heightened. No weapons of any kind will be allowed inside the venue; there will be metal detectors and bag checks. Police officers and volunteers will be present inside the venue to assist ticket holders.
PROTESTORS: Anyone who will be protesting outside the Trump event at the Macon Centreplex will be met with a large police presence. This is to ensure safety for all citizens including protesters.
Former Macon Mayor C. Jack Ellis plans to protest the event.
