Domestic violence call in Warner Robins ends in gunfire
A domestic violence call turned into a tense and dangerous standoff early Saturday morning, ending with an exchange of gunfire.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT-DT) – A domestic violence call turned into a tense and dangerous standoff early Saturday morning, ending with an exchange of gunfire between police and a suspect.
According to authorities, officers responded to a home on Louis Street around 2:30 a.m. for a domestic disturbance. When they arrived, a 46-year-old man was outside the residence and opened fire on officers before retreating and barricading himself inside an outdoor structure.
Police say the man continued to shoot during the standoff. At one point, an officer returned fire, striking the suspect.
Emergency crews from Emory EMS provided medical aid at the scene before transporting the man to a local hospital. His current condition has not been released.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is now handling the case, as is standard protocol in officer-involved shootings. The names of the suspect and any family members involved have not been made public.
The investigation is ongoing.
