Dogs Do Work at Middle Georgia Kennel Club Show
Dog shows are more than dogs following orders and jumping through hoops. The dogs that competed in the Middle Georgia Kennel Club show flexed their muscles and wagged their tails.
“I had a small dog that weighed 37 pounds; she pulled 182 times her own body weight which was 6,400 lbs,” said dog trainer, Keith Scott.
Scott’s dogs obey, do well in shows and they do their share of pulling weight around the house.
“The dogs love to work; this is a working breed dog. Most dogs like to have something to do and basically we condition them just like you condition yourself. A lot of running, tread milling, just having fun with the dog,” said Scott.
