Dodge County deputy shot in arm during officer-involved shooting, suspect killed
According to the GBI, police received a 911 call regarding livestock/animals in the roadway at Dodge Ave. and Mt. Moriah St. on Tuesday at about 9:40 a.m.

DODGE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A deputy was shot and a suspect is dead in Dodge County, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
According to the GBI, police received a 911 call regarding livestock/animals in the roadway at Dodge Ave. and Mt. Moriah St. on Tuesday at about 9:40 a.m.
A deputy was attempting to contact residents who lived at an address in the 5000 block of Dodge Ave. which is near the intersection of the original 911 call.
The GBI says when the deputy arrived, 58-year-old Kim Lawong Crocker met the deputy at the corner of the home with a firearm.
The deputy and Crocker exchanged gunfire. The deputy was shot in the arm and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Crocker was pronounced dead on the scene.
