JACKSON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Monroe County family who lost their home to a house fire just days before Christmas is asking the community for support.
After staying with the Red Cross, the family is now staying at the High Falls Inn until they can find a permanent housing solution.
Right now the family is still in need of clothing, hygiene products, gift cards or cash donations.
Homeowner Robert Cornett says since his family is staying in a hotel, they do not have room to store larger item donations.
“We’re just letting things take its course and just waiting, and that’s all we really can do at this point,” Cornett said. “But thank you for the people that have stepped in and have helped.”
You can contact the Cornett family through Facebook. You can also donate to the family via Cashapp at $colebean89 or $pitbull8430, or via chime at $pitbull8430.
