Dillard to Run for Bibb County School Board

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Dr. Thelma Dillard is planning to announce a run for the Bibb County School Board later this week.  Dillard tells 41NBC she’s seeking the District 2 seat, currently held by Tommy Barnes who will not be able to run for re-election due to term limits.

She’s scheduled a news conference for Thursday afternoon.

Dillard’s background includes both political and educational experience.  She was a member of Macon City Council for 20 years, ran for mayor in 2007, and has worked as an educator for close to 40 years.
