Deputy hits suspect with patrol car during chase in Laurens County

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia State Patrol is investigating after a Laurens County Sheriff deputy hit a suspect with a patrol car.

Authorities say the deputy was trying to stop a vehicle on Old Macon Road when the driver kept going.

This happened Saturday night in the northern part of the county.

Deputies say the suspect, Terrell Porter, led the deputy on a chase before suddenly stopping in the middle of the street in the Woodvale Subdvision.

Deputies say that’s when Porter got out of the vehicle and was hit by the deputy’s car.

No word on the condition of the suspect at this time.
