Deputies: Man dies after being found with gunshot wound in front of south Macon home

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home in the 3500 block of Flamingo Drive just after 10:30 p.m.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is dead after a shooting in south Macon on Thursday night.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home in the 3500 block of Flamingo Drive just after 10:30.

Deputies say that’s where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in front of the home.

The victim was taken to Atrium Health Navicent, where he was later pronounced deceased by medical staff.

The sheriff’s office says the victim was 31-year-old Devan Suwvon Williams.

Investigators are still determining what led up to the shooting, and more information will be released once it is available.
