Deputies investigate armed robbery at Macon Chinese restaurant

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb deputies are looking for an armed gunman who robbed a Chinese restaurant Thursday night.

According to the sheriff’s office, the armed robbery happened at the Hong Kong Express off Pio Nono Avenue around 8:20 p.m. Investigators say the suspect had a gun when he walked up to the clerk and demanded money. He ran away from the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured.

Deputies say the male suspect is approximately 5’05” and skinny. He was wearing a black hooded shirt with jeans, tennis shoes, and had a mask covering his face.
