Deputies Arrest 5 Men Stealing from Macon Kohl’s
Bibb County deputies caught five people stealing from the Kohl’s on Zebulon Road. Investigators say it was an inside job.
Edward Thomas Rouse Jr. and Dexter Denard Easley both worked at Kohl’s. They’re accused of going to the store after hours on June 1st, to steal clothes, jewelry, and electronics, along with three other people. Samuel Watson III, Steven Robinson, and Michael Collins were also arrested.
Store security was watching the entire time and called deputies. When the five tried to leave the store with 8 large bags of stolen goods, they were greeted by deputies, who were waiting to take them to jail.· The total estimated value of the merchandise was $11,790.
Here’s detailed information provided about each suspect from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office:
1)Edward Thomas Rouse Jr. – 28 years old from Macon. He was charged with Theft by Taking (Felony), Burglary, and Probation Violation State Court. Rouse is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex without bond. (Ad Placement Employee for Kohl’s)
2)Dexter Denard Easley– 21 years old from Macon. He was charged with Burglary, Theft by Taking (Felony), and Marijuana Possession (Misdemeanor). Easley posted a $6,085.00 bond on 06-04-11. (Ad Placement Employee for Kohl’s)
3)Samuel Deonte Watson III– 26 years old from Macon. He was charged Theft by Shoplifting (Felony). Watson posted a $1,850.00 bond on 06-02-11.
4) Steven Antwan Robinson– 27 years old from Macon. He was charges with Burglary, Theft by Taking (Felony), Probation Violation Superior Court, and Probation Violation State Court. Robinson is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex without bond.
5)Michael Dewayne Collins– 28 years old from Macon. He was charged with Theft by Taking (Felony). Collins posted a bond of $1,850.00 and was released on 06-02-11.
