Denmark Based Company to Open Plant in Dublin, Create 250 Jobs
DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Denmark based company Dinex announced this afternoon it will open its first US plant in Laurens County.
According the company’s website, it makes automotive emissions and exhaust control systems.
The plant will create 250 jobs and will invest more than $15 million in the area. Dinex is scheduled to start up in September 2012.
Chief Financial Officer for the company, Kim Jensen, says Dinex picked Dublin because of it’s prime location. The company will operate out of a 60,000 sq building in the industrial park in Laurens County, and in a few years double it’s size.
“Our goal is to get 250 or more [employees] in Dublin,” says Jensen.
President of the Development Authority, Cal Wray, says, “We have 3 European companies in 2 years. You have 2 automobile companies in 2 months. Hopefully, these just open up new windows and prospects. We’re busier than we’ve ever been in the history of the chamber.”
Jobs with Dinex include: welding, engineering, warehouse work, and administrative. The company will start will 50 positions and then expand. Job openings will be posted in about 6 to 8 weeks.
