DECISION 2013: Software Developer Arnold Will Bring Specific Skill Set to District 7

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Eric Arnold is a software developer by trade, but he says the skills he’s learned in his career will translate well if he’s elected as the new District 7 Macon-Bibb County commissioner.

He believes working with his customers to come up with solutions and debugging thousands of lines of computer codes with precision, are skills that the new commission needs.

He says he’ll bring that same sense of unity and meticulousness when handling county business. The third skill he’ll bring is responsibility.

“I am responsible for what I bring to my users. I will be responsible for what comes out of the new consolidated government,” said Arnold.

His focus, if elected, will be to bring more businesses to District 7.

“We have a lot of land down there… So we’ve got a prime opportunity for development… and also bring some entertainment,” said Arnold.

Arnold believes this can be accomplished through tax incentives, and reaching out to people.

“And you’ve got to get out and communicate. That is one of the things that I do very well,” said Arnold.

Arnold wants to be a new voice with new ideas, that he says can help move the county forward. Arnold, a Macon native, has worked as a software developer at Geico for more than 10 years.
