DECISION 2013: District 8 Candidate Davis Wants to Be Strong Voice for Residents
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Regina Davis feels there’s a change in the air in Macon and Bibb County, and residents are encouraged by the merger of the city and county.
She believes this new government is an opportunity for people like herself to step up and lead.
“There are a lot of things that have been left undone. What I would do is provide a new voice, a strong voice for the residents of that district,” said Davis.
So what makes her qualified? Davis calls herself resourceful. She thinks that’s a key quality in a good leader. She sees the opportunity for the new government to get more people involved.
For example, she says creating task forces will get more things accomplished.
“There are other avenues for being able to get things done, and I would like to be a part of that,” said Davis.
In terms of District 8, her biggest concern is making it and the entire county safer, and more beautiful.
“That’s first and foremost that we can get our city in a position all over that looks good and will attract new residents to Macon,” said Davis.
Davis is a real estate agent and minister. She has previosly run for Macon City Council and the Macon Water Authority.
