DECISION 2013: District 6 Candidate Abbott Believes Bibb Needs to Focus on Needs
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Robert Abbott, a candidate for Macon-Bibb County Commission District 6, is concerned that Bibb County spends more money on it’s wants, rather than it’s needs.
“My years of experience have taught me that you have to set priorities in your life just as you do your family budget… You’ve got to be able to weigh what’s more important,” said Abbott.
Abbott believes prioritizing begins with teamwork. He says his background of negotiating, and working well with others will be an asset when the new government takes office.
“There is no reason why I cannot work with anyone in this race… It is a team effort,” said Abbott.
As far as District 6 goes, Abbott talked about deplorable roads that need to be fixed. It’s one of his priorities if elected.
His overall focus is broader.
“My main concern is the tax structure. That’s the main problem in the entire county, and what effects my district is going to affect all districts,” said Abbott.
Abbott calls himself an “entire county type of person.” He says he wants to do what’s best for all residents.
