DECISION 2013: DeFore Says Recreation is a Priority for District 6
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Ed DeFore, believes if you’re going to start a new big league ball club, you want some experienced players on your team.
So, that’s why the 42-year Macon city council veteran wants to represent the citizens of District 6.
“I have the necessary experience,” said DeFore.
If elected to serve on the new government, DeFore wants to bring more recreation to his district.
“I feel like we can sit down and break bread together and rearrange some of those priorities and give those boys and girls… an honor that the other people already have in the city of Macon. They need it. They deserve it,” said DeFore.
DeFore wants to put rec centers in Lizella and the southern portion of the county. He also thinks Lizella needs a sheriff’s division.
“That’s been on of my top priorities fighting crime in the city,” said DeFore.
Defore has also served on the Macon Water Authority and the Bibb County Board of Education. He hold’s Macon’s record for the longest serving city councilman.
