DECISION 2013: Business Owner Bell Says He Can Bring Business to District 7
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Barry Bell, is a family man and a business owner, and he’s confident if he’s leading District 7, he can get people to bring industry to the area.
“I bought into District 7. I know why I like District 7. I know I can sell District 7,” said Bell.
His bottom line, is keeping taxes low, and attracting industry to District 7 where there isn’t much going on.
He has a vision to bring a motel with a nice restaurant, and even doctor and dental offices to the south end of the county.
“We’ve got the two most accessible exits that I know of.. anywhere in the state of Georgia on I-75… There are a lot of businesses that we could use that I would love to go out and court and support,” said Bell.
Bell feels like there’s a lack of trust throughout Bibb County in regards to it’s current leadership. If elected, he feels he can earn the trust of the people, through his very specific attitude.
“If I’m rowing the boat, I’m too busy to be rocking the boat,” said Bell.
Bell, a native of Reynolds Georgia, moved to Macon about 12 years ago. He is an advocate for public education. His kids attend Bibb County schools.
