Deadline for Voter Registration Passes for Macon-Bibb Elections
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Monday, the deadline to register to vote in next month’s Macon-Bibb county election passed.
Staffers at the board of elections told us they’d seen a steady but slow turnout of voters trying to register. This election there are a lot of races to keep straight, but one voter we spoke with says the mayoral race is the one that carries the most weight.
“I think it’s important that we have somebody in office that’s gonna bring businesses back, so we can get the income back and you know, “up” Macon,” says registered voter Jacqueline Merkerson.
Election day is September 17th and early voting begins next Monday, August 26th.
