DEA seizes more than 1,000 pounds of meth in Atlanta drug busts

(CNN)- The Drug Enforcement Administration says its agents seized over 1,000 pounds of methamphetamine in two separate busts in Atlanta, Georgia, last week.

Authorities arrested five men in connection with the seizures. The suspects appeared in federal court on Monday, where prosecutors charged them with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Investigators say four of the men are undocumented immigrants from Mexico. The case remains under federal investigation.
