Daybreak raises more than $322,000 during annual Sleepout

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Daybreak has announced the total raised during its annual Sleepout event, revealing that the organization brought in $322,663 to support its efforts.

Leaders with the organization say they are thankful for everyone who participated and donated, helping make this year’s event a success.

Supporters say the impact of Daybreak goes beyond immediate needs, offering resources that can help people get back on their feet.

Chuck Leavell, a supporter, said Daybreak provides services like food and hot showers while also helping individuals build resumes, find jobs and move off the streets.

The money raised will go toward the organization’s general operating fund, which supports its ministries, covers essential expenses like utilities and helps keep staff employed so services can continue.
