David Ragan Looks To Notch First Win At Roush’s Backyard Track

BROOKLYN, MI – David Ragan is still looking for that first Cup Series point race win and would love nothing more than to win at the track Roush Racing and Ford have dominated at over the years.

“Michigan is the home track for Roush Industries and Ford, so it would be great to get them a win in their backyard,” said the Unadilla native.

His UPS Ford for the race is the same chassis he used to win the Sprint Showdown at Charlotte and went on to finish eighth in the All-Star race.

“Michigan is a fun place to visit and a track that we’ve been successful at in the past,” he said. “It’s a wide track that you can really maneuver around and has different grooves to race on.”

His crew chief Drew Blickensderfer added, “Michigan is a track where David tends to run well and after strong runs at Texas, Charlotte and Kansas it should be a good weekend for us.  The Roush cars typically run well at Michigan and with this being Ford and Jack’s home track it gives us extra incentive to run well.”

Ragan has completed 99.8 percent of the laps he’s raced at Michigan in his eight starts.
