#DariusinWR: Darius Rucker to headline Independence Day celebration

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A big name in country music is headlining the Warner Robins Independence Day Celebration.

Organizers announced on Monday Darius Rucker is coming to the International City for the celebration on Friday, July 3.

The Air Force Reserve is hosting the concert at the Museum of Aviation this year. It’s usually held at McConnell-Talbert Stadium, but the location has changed because the stadium is undergoing field renovations.

Warner Robins Mayor Randy Toms tells 41NBC Rucker is very supportive of our forces. He’s also very excited the musician will spend the holiday performing in Middle Georgia.

“He’s always wanting to do something for our military members and to have him here for the Independence Day concert is just incredibly amazing,” Toms said. .

The doors of the museum open at 6 p.m. and the concert starts at 8 p.m. There will be fireworks after the show.

It is a free family event. Celebration goers are not allowed to bring alcohol or pets. Attendees are asked to park at Anchor Glass down the street from the museum.

Organizers are asking the community to use #DariusinWR on social media. To learn more, visit the Warner Robins Independence Day Celebration Facebook page.
