Dallemand Considers Year-round Schools for Bibb County Students
Students in Bibb County may spend more time in the classroom.
According to spokesperson for the district Chris Floore, Superintendent Dr. Romain Dallemand is considering year-round school. Floore says, a decision on whether to implement the change will be announced in January,
when Dallemand releases his finished strategic plan.
Dr. Dallemand began holding regular conversations with the entire school system staff when he first became superintendent, taking time to visit each school. In recent months, he’s held strategic planning meetings each month to brainstorm solutions to challenges facing the school system, receiving input from teachers, administrators, secretaries, etc. Those meetings are being documented and are referred to as The Macon Miracle on the school district’s website.
