D9 Dash: United 4 Scholars 5K, Fun Walk kicks off Saturday morning

The Macon Middle Georgia National Pan-Hellenic Council, also known as the Divine Nine, is hosting its second D9 Dash: United 4 Scholars 5K and Fun Walk.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Get moving and support a great cause this Saturday at Amerson River Park, where you can exercise and help raise funds for collegiate scholarships for seniors attending schools in the Bibb and Monroe County school districts.

The Macon Middle Georgia National Pan-Hellenic Council, also known as the Divine Nine, is hosting its second D9 Dash: United 4 Scholars 5K and Fun Walk.

Registration starts at 8 a.m., and the race kicks off an hour later at 9 a.m.

If you’re interested in participating in the noncompetitive walk/run, it’ll cost $35 to register at Amerson River Park, $30 for early registration, and $15 for children 17 and under.

The D9 Dash: United 4 Scholars 5K and Fun Walk is open to everyone.

The Pan-Hellenic Council is a national organization comprised of nine Black Greek letter organizations founded in 1930.
